Belly rubbers wanted... no experience required
Our biggest need is always more hands on bellies - people who love pigs, giving affection and attention to our rescue piggies. This zen-like experience will lower your blood pressure while giving our rescues the one on one attention they crave as they wait for a forever family.
Visitors who will be interacting with the pigs will complete a tour and orientation on pig behaviors, pig interaction, and basic mini pig education. All volunteers are required to sign a liability waiver and wear proper attire. Volunteers under 18 require parental supervision.

Bring your gloves!
Volunteers are welcome Tuesday through Saturday to help with farm chores. We won't kid you - there's a LOT to do on a farm with almost 300 pigs, and it's not always easy. Once you've learned your way around and are expert at navigating the farm, you'll be able to participate in cleaning the pig living areas, changing the water, making repairs, even various construction tasks. We LOVE volunteers with specialized skills such as construction and automotive repair.
A sore back can't compete with that feeling of satisfaction, knowing you've helped so many little piggies!
Those participating in farm chores will complete a tour and orientation on pig behaviors, pig interaction, and basic mini pig education, and will train under one of our highly experienced volunteers. Must be 18 or older.

Too far to drive? We can do virtual...
A large rescue like MPFL has endless needs that require all kinds of skills. Don't love the idea of getting dirty? Live too far away to drive in to the rescue? We can use your skills in fundraising, marketing, grant writing, copywriting, event planning and organizing, mass mailings... If it's something you can do for a business, odds are MPFL needs those skills as well. And Melanie is a pro at working with remote volunteers.
